Burtco Self-Storage Facility | Westminster, VT

Site engineering for an additional 9,900 SF self-storage building on a 27 acre industrially zoned parcel. Design involved on-site storm water management and approximately 22,000 SF of paved access driveway and parking. A Notice of Intent (NOI) to Discharge Stormwater (pursuant to General Permit 3-9015) and for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activities (pursuant to General Permit 3-9020) and an Act 250 Permit Amendment to be prepared.

Red Clover Commons Senior Housing | Brattleboro, VT

Consulting site engineer to re-develop a former automobile repair shop on a 2.78 acre parcel into a 55-unit elderly housing complex. Project involves feasibility planning, preliminary design, final design and construction administration. It includes converting traditional stormwater collection system to an on-site system using low impact development (LID) techniques, new municipal drinking water, fire protection and wastewater connections, re-grading, access driveway, parking and site lighting. Anticipated environmental permitting includes Vermont Act 250, Stormwater Discharge, Wastewater Disposal & Potable Water Supply and Town of Brattleboro Zoning/DRB.

Site evaluation, topographic survey, preliminary and final engineering design related to grading, access driveway, parking, on-site stormwater LID system, municipal water and wastewater connections. Anticipated environmental permitting includes Vermont Wastewater Disposal & Potable Water Supply and Town of Brattleboro Zoning/DRB.

Abenaque Car Wash | Chester, VT | 2014

Consulting engineer to the design-build contractor for overall site plan engineering for a 3,400 square foot, five-bay, commercial car wash facility on a 5.3 acre parcel. Design involved on-site LID storm water management, municipal water and wastewater connections (with treatment), site lighting, landscape design and 30,000 SF paved access driveway and parking. Prepared permit applications for VT Wastewater Disposal & Potable Water Supply, VTrans Access, VT Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activities (pursuant to CGP 3-9020) and Chester Zoning/DRB.

West River Valley Senior Housing | Townshend, VT | 2013

Engineering evaluation of potable water and wastewater systems to handle proposed assisted living facility expansion and the re-design and construction phase services of those systems. Prior work included design and construction phase service for the original on-site public community water supply system and advanced wastewater treatment and disposal system for the 60-unit assisted living and independent living facilities in Townshend, VT. Prepared VT DEC Wastewater Management Division and Water Supply Division permit applications, inspection reports, as-built drawings and a water system Operation & Maintenance Manual.

Marlboro School of Music | Marlboro, VT | 2013

Subconsulting engineer for the design of on-site drinking water supply and distribution, and wastewater collection and disposal systems for a community of five cottages located on a 15 acre parcel. Prepared VT Wastewater Disposal and Potable Water Supply permit application that included a subdivision from Marlboro College.

Putney Senior Housing | Putney, VT | 2011

Prepared a feasibility report for connecting a proposed 24-unit senior housing complex to the Putney municipal water and sewer systems. The report discussed the design issues surrounding the municipal water and force main connections and provided opinions of probable construction costs for planning purposes. Valley Cares, Inc. is a not-for-profit housing organization that receives public and private funding.

Wastewater Treatment

West River Montessori School | Londonderry, VT | 2010

A mixed-use public non-transient non-community water system serving a 24-student preschool, a residential apartment and commercial spaces. This system was in violation of the EPA Lead and Copper Rule and had major system deficiencies identified in their Sanitary Survey. We prepared a water system treatment design for acid neutralizers (calcite and magnesium oxide blended media) and standby disinfection system, obtained required VT WSD Permits, and prepared the final observation reports and the Operation & Maintenance Manual.

Camperama Campground | Townshend, VT | 2009

On-site wastewater disposal system design and construction oversight for a privately owned 170-unit campground. VT DEC Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Permit acquisition. Other similar water and wastewater system designs for campgrounds include Camp Neringa, Marlboro, VT and Fairy Camp Destiny, Grafton, VT.

Delta Epsilon Commercial Development | Guilford, VT | 2008

Multi-lot subdivision involving engineering design of on-site water supplies, sewer collection system and a municipal sewer connection. Environmental permit acquisition for Subdivision and Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply permits. Other similar projects involving municipal water and/or sewer expansion include Bunker Hill MHP (Windsor), and Chemco Bldg (Bellows Falls).

Land planning and engineering design for the subdivision and development of a 28 acre industrially zoned parcel. Project involved wastewater pump station and sewer extension across the Connecticut River and a non-public on-site water supply and distribution design.
