Michael A. Marquise, P.E.

Civil/Environmental Engineer

Primarily responsible for on-site and decentralized wastewater systems and environmental permitting for more than 25 years, Michael has completed numerous site evaluations, engineering designs and field surveys. He oversees the construction process from start to finish and maintains a good working relationship with area contractors and municipal officials. Prior to forming Marquise & Morano, LLC, Michael was sole proprietor of Greywater Enterprises for eight years. In addition to his engineering experience, Michael has been the Town Planner for Sunapee, NH for 25 years (separate from Marquise & Morano, LLC) and has effectively coordinated and facilitated public presentations to many area planning boards and ACT 250 Hearings.

Professional Experience

Michael Marquise has over twenty-six years experience in the engineering profession. He is in responsible charge of business planning, project management and project engineering. His engineering focus is on-site and decentralized wastewater system design, general site design and environmental permitting. He oversees the construction process from start to finish and maintains a good working relationship with area contractors and local officials. Michael has attended numerous state and local public hearings and is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences on the topic of land development. Michael also has an excellent working relationship with the regional office of the Vermont Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division.

Prior to forming Marquise & Morano, LLC, Michael was sole proprietor of Greywater Enterprises for eight years. In addition to his engineering experience, Michael has been the Town Planner for Sunapee, NH since 1990, and has effectively coordinated and facilitated public presentations to many area planning boards and ACT 250 Hearings.

Jane Morano Purdy, P.E.

Civil/Environmental Engineer

Jane has been in the engineering profession for twenty-five years and is licensed in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. She designs drinking water and wastewater systems, works effectively with State officials through the permit acquisition and public funding process and manages project construction from bidding through final completion. In addition to her water and wastewater experience, Jane prepares general site engineering plans and stormwater designs that focus on low impact development (LID) principles and takes an integrated approach to water resources management and conservation. Prior to Marquise & Morano, LLC, Jane worked for Whitman & Howard, Inc. for seven (7) years, where she was responsible for the engineering design and construction of municipal drinking water systems throughout New England.

Primarily a water resources engineer, Jane designs drinking water systems, on-site and decentralized wastewater systems and stormwater management plans that follow low impact development (LID) guidelines. She works effectively with state officials through the permit acquisition and public funding process and manages project construction from bidding through final completion.

Previously, as a Project Engineer with Whitman & Howard, Inc., n/f AECOM, Inc., (1988-1995), Jane completed numerous engineering studies for municipal water distribution systems and was responsible for the engineering design, bidding and construction phase of municipal water distribution and water supply projects, including the design and construction of a 900 gallon per minute pump station and corrosion control facility and several miles of water mains.
