Consulting site engineer to Architect involved in designing an addition to existing Center for Child Development (ages 0-5 years). Project involves preliminary design, final design and construction administration related to on-site stormwater management using low impact development (LID) techniques, grading and general site layout of proposed addition, driveway and parking lot. Anticipated environmental permitting includes Vermont Wastewater Disposal & Potable Water Supply and Town of Brattleboro Zoning/DRB.

Saxtons River Village Muncipal Wastewater | Saxtons River, VT

Part of a team formed to complete a preliminary engineering report related to the evaluation of alternative wastewater treatment options in accordance with Vermont Facilities Engineering Division Step I process, which includes environmental information documents and opinions of probable life cycle costs. Alternatives reviewed included 1) a 20,000 lf connection to neighboring municipal wastewater treatment facility (WWTF), 2) upgrade existing WWTF current treatment process, or 3) upgrade existing WWTF with new treatment process using SBR's. Work with state review and funding agencies during the approval process. Prepare construction documents for Step II Final Engineering Design.

Saxtons River Village Fire Station | Saxtons River, VT | 2013

Preliminary site engineering to evaluate the feasibility of constructing a new 3900 SF fire station on an existing 0.73 acre lot. Reviewed access according to AASHTO design vehicle turning radii, parking, landscape, site lighting, stormwater management, on-site potable water, municipal wastewater, fire sprinkler storage volume, floor drain treatment, water reuse potential, site resiliency, ANR database and environmental permit requirements. Prepared Preliminary Site Plan and Final Report summarizing findings and our opinion of probable costs.

Westminster Center School | Westminster, VT | 2009

An on-site non-transient non-community water system serving a school population of 330 students and staff. We prepared the Preliminary Engineering Report, final design plans and technical specifications for renovation of potable water system and projected construction cost estimates. This project was funded through the Vermont Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) under timely deadlines. Permits included the VT DEC Water Supply Division Permit to Construct. Other schools we've recently work on with similar engineering responsibilities include Whitingham Elementary School, SEVCA/Brattleboro Early Education Services, Saxtons River Elementary School and the Bellows Falls Central Elementary School.

Municipal Highway Garage | Townshend, VT | 2009

Site plan engineering for a new 7,000 SF municipal highway garage. Total developed area of 39,000 SF. Engineering services included on-site water supply, wastewater disposal and LID storm water design, landscaped bioretention/rain garden areas, erosion control, gravel driveway access and parking area and bituminous concrete apron (with bid alternative for porous pavement). Permits included the VT DEC Notice of Intent for use of the Construction General Stormwater Permit (low risk site) and VT DEC Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Permit.
